WebUnwired changes name to Net6

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Wireless content management company WebUnwired announced it changed its name to Net6 Inc., a move the company said better reflects its expanded business focus.

The company said the Net6 name reflects its network-based technology, which the company said adds a “sixth sense” to networks and allows them to display any content on any device, wired or wireless. Further, the company’s technology sits in Layer 6 in a network’s OSI stack.

Net6 sells its Content Mobility Engine Software, which the company said manages, transforms and delivers existing content to any device.
