Morris wins remand from court on licenses

WASHINGTON—South Carolina-based wireless service company Morris Communications Inc. said it won a remand from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in its appeal of the FCC’s 1996 decision to cancel five of 10 wireless radio channels previously granted to Morris.

The court ordered remanded the case back to the FCC, ordering the commission to consider a rule waiver request by Morris that had previously been ignored.
