ARMONK, N.Y.—Melard Technologies has chosen Research In Motion Ltd.’s OEM radio modems to wirelessly enable its rugged handheld computers.
With RIM’s radio modems, Melard plans to offer mobile employees in the telco, cable, field service and utilities industries wireless access to information.
“Wireless connectivity is important to our customers and it made sense for us to choose a technology that has already been tested, proven and successfully deployed,” said Russell Schmidt, senior vice president and marketing and sales for Melard.
