LAS VEGAS—Agere Systems said it has unveiled its 802.11a, 5 GHz radio and antenna kits for the ORiNOCO AP-2000 dual-radio wireless network access point.
“These new kits enable an IT manager to easily add the additional wireless speed, bandwidth and channels provided by 802.11a technologies operating in the 5 GHz frequency range to an AP-2000 wireless access point,” said Agere in a statement.
The company also announced volume shipments of its family of 11 Mbit Wi-Fi products.
