LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—Alltel Corp. has hired PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. to replaced Arthur Andersen L.L.P. as independent auditors, the company announced late May 7.
“The decision to replay Arthur Andersen was not the result of any disagreement between the company and Arthur Andersen on any matter of accounting principals or practices, financial statement disclosure or auditing scope or procedure,” Alltel said.
