LONDON—Logica announced a major deal with wireless giant Telefonica Moviles to provide the carrier this virtually all its messaging products, as well as plans to jointly develop new messaging infrastructure products and solutions.
Logica will offer Telefonica and its operators worldwide its short message service center, Messaging Applications Router, Open Messaging Gateway and Foreign Subscriber Gateway.
“The agreement signed with Logica will allow us to promote the development of these services, while strengthening the position of Telefonica Moviles as a leading company in the development of technologies applied to mobile telephone products, services and platforms,” said Ignacio Camarero, the carrier’s chief technology officer.
