ATLANTA—Amid continuing bad news and profit losses, wireless telemetry company Numerex Corp. offered a ray of sunshine with its net earnings of 2 cents per share and positive earnings before interest, depreciation, taxes and amortization.
“Wireless telemetry revenue growth outpaced our stated 2002 guidelines of 70 to 90 percent with an improvement of 109 percent over first quarter of 2001, and reflected 20-percent sequential growth over fourth quarter of 2001,” said Stratton Nicolaides, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer.
Net sales for the first quarter were $7.1 million, up from $5.3 million for the same quarter last year.
