BEIJING—The Ministry of Information Industry (MII) announced that the country added 16.69 million mobile-phone users in the first quarter of the year. There are now 160 million mobile-phone subscribers.
At the end of March, telecom revenues were divided as follows: China Telecom 50.5 percent, China Mobile 36.6 percent, China Unicom 11.3 percent and others, including China Satellite, China Netcom, Jitong and Railcom, at 1.6 percent.
