SANTA CLARA, Calif.—Datastick Systems Inc., developer of software and peripherals for Palm OS handhelds, announced it will develop a software interface exclusively for Oceana Sensor Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of OEM vibration sensors and smart, wireless sensing systems for machine health monitoring.
Through the agreement, Oceana’s ICHM 20/20 (Intelligent Component Health Monitoring) System will communicate with the Datastick Connection software suite, which records, displays and stores scientific and industrial measurements on a Palm handheld. Datastick’s software is powered by Bluetooth wireless technology.
In an unrelated announcement, Datastick released its new Datastick DAS-1245 Data Acquisition System, which includes two software packages that allow users to record scientific and industrial measurements including temperature, pressure, vibration and rates of acceleration and display them on a Palm OS handheld.
