CTIA reminds drivers to put safety first

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association used the final day of Wireless Safety Week to remind drivers that a top priority this Memorial Day weekend should be to reach their destinations safely.

‘The wireless industry is working hard to educate drivers on the wide range of distractions that can be dangerous on the road—and that wireless phones should not be one of them,” said Tom Wheeler, president and chief executive officer of CTIA. “Wireless phones are the greatest safety tools drivers can have on the road, as long as they remember always to put driving responsible first.”
