TOKYO—NTT DoCoMo Inc. said it will begin selling its PDC-based mova SO504i handset next week that is compatible with the carrier’s enhanced i-mode service offering packet data transmission speeds of up to 28.8 kilobits per second.
The handset also includes support for Java Archive applications of up to 30 Kb and associated data of up to 100 Kb per applications, a 2-inch color screen with a three-dimensional polygon engine to display 3D video and Sony’s word-processing technology designed to reduce the number of keystrokes when inputting Japanese text.
