BEIJING-During the first five months of the year, output of mobile phones jumped 108 percent in Shanghai. Exports of information technology products by foreign-invested companies in Shanghai showed the fastest growth rate.
For the first time, overseas-invested enterprises in Shanghai were the city’s dominant exporters, claiming 60 percent of the city’s total exports. Philips, Siemens and Intel were Shanghai’s top three overseas-funded exporters.
