PARIS-Alcatel said it launched a 3G Reality Center in Shanghai, China, to develop and test advanced mobile applications and data services in the country.
Alcatel said it would partner with local content and applications providers for the project. The French supplier said the center is the flagship of a network of such centers it plans across the Asia-Pacific region in countries including Australia, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea.
The China center’s strategic partners include Fujitsu, Intrinsic Technology of China and South Korea’s WiderThan.com.
