Centennial reports drop in customer adds, wireless revenues climb

WALL, N.J.-Centennial Communications Corp. said it added 24,200 net subscribers in its Caribbean and U.S. operations during its fiscal fourth quarter ended May 31, well below the 45,300 subscribers the carrier added during the previous year. Centennial finished its fiscal year with 906,800 total wireless customers.

Wireless revenue increased for its U.S. operations from $85.1 million during the fourth quarter last year to $91.6 million this year, while its Caribbean operations saw an increase from $52.1 million last year to $66.1 million this year. Total company net loss, including its wireline and broadband operations, also increased from $15.5 million last year, a loss of 16 cents per share, to a loss of $18.8 million this year, or 20 cents per share.
