WELLINGTON, New Zealand-Lucent Technologies Inc. said it signed a cdma2000 1x contract with Telecom New Zealand to supply equipment for the Australia-New Zealand region.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
“Our business customers are very keen to use this technology, which really frees them up from their offices and lets them use high-speed services, such as mobile office applications, taking and sending photos, accessing e-mail and the Internet whenever and wherever they want to,” said Lorraine Witten, general manager of Telecom New Zealand.
