SAN JOSE, Calif.-Samsung Semiconductor Inc. said it has rolled out a line of embedded ARM-based application processors to support Windows CE.NET version 4.1. in empowering next-generation wireless devices like personal digital assistants and smart phones.
“Both companies (Microsoft and Samsung) share a commitment to bring next-generation wireless technology to market and have worked closely together to test and validate Samsung’s application processors,” said the companies in a statement. “As a result, popular Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat can now run on today’s wireless mobile devices.”
