VANCOUVER, British Columbia-Canadian carrier Telus Corp. reported 102,600 net wireless subscriber additions during the second quarter, a 34 percent increase over the 76,400 customers it added during the second quarter last year. The company said it ended the quarter with 2.8 million total wireless customers.
Average revenue per user fell from $35.63 last year to $34.99 this year, while customer churn remained constant at 2 percent.
Total wireless revenues increased 6.2 percent from $20.5 million last year to $21.8 million this year, which the company principally attributed to a 47,400 increase in gross activations for the quarter.
