BEIJING-South Korean vendor LG Group plans to build a copy of its Seoul headquarters along Beijing’s Chang’an Avenue, which also passes Tiananmen Square. Investment in the twin towers would amount to US$400 million. The company also plans to establish a research and development (R&D) center in China.
LG Group is the leading vendor of computer memory and the number-two seller of monitors and microwave ovens in China. Earlier this year, it invested US$45 million in a CDMA handset factory in China’s eastern Shandong province.
