WOBURN, Mass.-Boston Communications Group Inc. (BCGI) will acquire all assets of billing software solution provider Infotech Solutions Corp., allowing BCGI to offer solutions for handling postpaid, prepaid and hybrid subscriber management.
The company’s new suite of products will include point-of-sale capabilities, inventory management, real-time transaction processing for voice, data and m-commerce, proactive voice messaging, Web-based customer care and payment processing.
“This acquisition will further BCGI’s stated mission to provide integrated subscriber management, billing and payment solutions to help wireless carriers compete in this increasingly challenging environment,” said E.Y. Snowden, president and chief executive officer of BCGI.
According to their agreement, BCGI will acquire assets and certain liabilities of Infotech Solutions for cash, plus additional payment, contingent on achieving specified revenue targets over a three-year period. The acquisition, already approved by the boards of each company, should close during the fourth quarter 2002.
