SEOUL, South Korea-The Mobitex Operators Association (MOA) said two new wireless data networks will begin operation in China.
Telecom Digital has officially launched its Mango Mobitex-based network and service in Hong Kong. The network provides bilingual e-mail, Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), short message service (SMS), personal information management and games.
Sky Networks Communications Group plans to deploy a Mobitex-enabled network capable of servicing nearly 750,000 subscribers in Beijing, Shanghai and other major northern Chinese cities.
