LONDON-Operating system company Symbian said ARM, Hewlett-Packard Co., Motorola SPS, RealNetworks and Texas Instruments joined the company’s Platinum Partner program. The company also said it will work with ARM and TI to closely integrate and optimize its operating system with the technologies from ARM and TI.
Symbian, created by the world’s major mobile phone makers to create a smart phone operating system, said more than 80 of the company’s Platinum Partners participated in Symbian’s Partner Event in London.
“These partnerships are a terrific endorsement of Symbian, and a great indication of growing market impetus behind Symbian OS,” said David Levin, the company’s chief executive officer.
