CHELMSFORD, Mass.-Axis Communications has begun volume shipments of its system-on-a-chip that integrates 2-Megabyte Flash, 8 MB Synchronized Dynamic Random Access Memory and an Ethernet transceiver.
The ETRAX100LX MCM 2+8 chip, which measures 27 square millimeters, is designed to reduce design and production costs for developers of wireless access points and other networked devices.
