CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom-Cambridge Positioning Systems Ltd. announced it is working with Intel Corp. to integrate CPS’s location technology-enhanced observed time difference technology-into a variety of Intel products geared toward the wireless and handheld markets.
The companies plan to integrate E-OTD into mobile devices running Intel’s Personal Internet Client Architecture building blocks, said the companies.
“This is hugely significant for E-OTD and will further drive the availability of location-enabled devices on a global basis to support the expanding market for commercial and personal safety services,” said Chris Wade, chief executive officer of CPS.
In other CPS news, LocatioNet Inc. and CPS this week announced they have entered a joint marketing agreement to market E-OTD technology to operators in Brazil.
The agreement could extend to other regions as needed, the companies said.
