Spirea to offer new 802.11 transceiver chips

NEW YORK-Spirea AB, Kista, Sweden, a developer of integrated radio-frequency solutions for the short-range wireless markets, will make available during the second quarter of 2003 two new transceiver chips for 802.11 standards.

The b-TraC is optimized for 27.5 Megabits per second transmission on 802.11b and enhanced 802.11b, also known as 802.11b+. The g-TraC is optimized for up to 54 Mbps for the upcoming 802.11g Wi-Fi standard.
