TOKYO-Sega on Tuesday announced it would supply gaming software to FarEasTone in Taiwan and SmarTone in Hong Kong. Both Asian telecom companies launched game content distribution services on 16 December.
Under the contract with the two Asian firms, Sega will provide five games: Pengo, Flicky, Space Harrier, Monaco GP and HeadOn. The monthly content subscription fee will be HK$28 (US$3.60) in Hong Kong and T$50 (US$1.44) in Taiwan.
As part of its overseas expansionary strategies, Sega in October 2001 started providing games in Korea.
