Hong Kong carrier to offer wireless video

SAN DIEGO-Hong Kong telecommunications company New World Mobility will offer a wireless streaming video service over its GPRS network through a new deal with PacketVideo Corp.

The service will allow wireless users to keep tabs on their home, and will work over the Nokia 7650 handset.

“We are pleased to be the first carrier in Hong Kong to launch innovative mobile communications like our HomeCare Mobile Viewing Service,” said Norman Wai, the carrier’s president and chief executive officer. “Our close partnership with PacketVideo has made it possible to enable our customers to stay connected to their families with this ground-breaking new service.”
