STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson said it has conducted what it described as the first Internet Protocol Version 6 over UMTS network, using a medical emergency system that moves among different types of access networks.
“From a hospital setting, doctors can observe the patient in the ambulance, check the heart rate and blood pressure, using mobile networks such as GSM/GPRS or UMTS/W-CDMA,” said Ericsson in a press release.
