DENVER-Daniels & Associates was the second most active financial adviser in the telecommunications business during 2002, according to data from Thomson Financial.
Daniels completed 28 merger and acquisition transactions in cable television, broadcast, cellular, paging, specialized mobile radio, personal communications services, telephony and Internet sectors, while first place Credit Suisse First Boston completed 41. Morgan Stanley ranked third with 23 completed transactions. Thomson also ranked Daniels 18th among all M&A advisers to U.S. telecommunications companies based on the aggregate value of its transactions, which was $1.02 billion.
