SAN JOSE, Calif.-Application processor company NeoMagic Corp. said it will offer a reference design kit the company said will allow manufacturers to easily and quickly build a smart phone using Microsoft Corp.’s software.
NeoMagic’s reference design, dubbed Genesys, incorporates Microsoft’s Smartphone operating system, as well as NeoMagic’s applications processor, Analog Devices’ SoftFone GSM/GPRS wireless chipset, Othello One’s direct conversion radio and TTPCom’s GSM/GPRS protocol stack. NeoMagic said the reference kit includes all the ingredients for manufacturers to build a Microsoft smart phone.
