SINGAPORE-M1, a cellular and paging carrier in Singapore, has commenced a free trial through March 31 of its new SunSurf wireless broadband service, available at 60 hot spots to consumers with portable or handheld computers using a Microsoft Inc. operating system.
M1 plans to increase the number of available SunSurf hot spots to 150 by mid-year, said Neil Montefiore, chief executive officer.
When the free trial ends, M1 will offer SunSurf to its postpaid customers as a value-added option at a price whose details are not yet public.
