SURABAYA, Indonesia-SingTel Mobile, which offers several mobile data services, launched a new bundled data pricing package called Data3 (pronounced Data Cube).
By subscribing to Data Cube, subscribers will have access to SingTel Mobile’s current mobile data services worth S$55(US$32) for S$25(US$14.40) per month. The services include General Packet Radio Services (GPRS), High Speed Circuit Switched Data (HSCSD) and 802.11b Wi-Fi networks. In addition, the subscribers will receive discounted rates up to 34 percent for the three data services if they exceed their S$55 worth of data value for the month.
Andrew Buay, SingTel’s vice president of consumer marketing, said: “Data3 is the first integrated multiplatform data service plan of its kind in Singapore, which includes GPRS, HSCSD and Wi-Fi technology.”
Furthermore, he explained Data3 is designed for data-centric mobile professionals who need to remain productive. This scheme is available for both SingTel and non-SingTel users, who will be given free data Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards that cannot be used for voice calls.
Jesmine Ong, SingTel spokeswoman, added: “SingTel users will always have the option to choose the fastest data access wherever they are.”
