Telia Denmark begins charging for MMS service

COPENHAGEN, Denmark-Telia Denmark is introducing a charge of 44 U.S. cents for its multimedia messaging service following a free introductory period, which ends at the end of this month. The price is in line with other European operators’ MMS charges.

The cost applies to the sender, while the recipient will not be charged.

Other European operators have extended their free trial periods for MMS services. In fact, earlier this week, Swedish cell-phone operator Comviq joined rivals Vodafone and Telia by extending its free trial of MMS service until June. The company had planned to halt its free trial service at the end of May, and then charge 45 U.S. cents for each MMS sent after this period.
