REDMOND, Wash.-Action Engine, whose customers include Orange SA and MmO2, has closed a $15.5 million Series C round of venture financing, led by Baker Capital and including Cascadia Capital LLC, Intel Communications Fund, OVP Venture Partners, Northwest Venture Associates and Spangler Ventures.
The new financing, which brings the company’s total venture funding to $35 million, will go toward increased sales and marketing efforts in Europe, Asia and the United States and for further development of the company’s two platforms.
Mobile Web Services is a browser-less client-server solution for smart wireless devices. The over-the-air Device Management “simplifies device configuration and registration, service provisioning, software maintenance, security and applications downloads,” among other things, the company said.
