WASHINGTON-Informal complaints regarding wireless to the Federal Communications Commission increased by nearly 53 percent over the previous quarter with the bulk of these being in the areas of billing, early contract termination and service quality, the agency announced on Thursday.
The FCC’s Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau declined to name which companies were involved and Chief K. Dane Snowden cautioned that an informal complaint does not necessarily indicate carrier wrong-doing.
Snowden released the numbers at a press briefing.
