NEW YORK-GuestWiFi, which provides wireless local area network access at small and mid-sized hotels, has teamed with Pronto Networks, a Pleasanton, Calif., provider of carrier-class operations support systems for hot spots.
In this partnership, New York-based GuestWiFi will handle sales and installation and provide hotel guests with point-of-sales kits for a quick start service launch.
Through its Hotspot Managed Services, Pronto Networks will provide all back-office operations, including authentication, security, prepaid and postpaid billing, roaming settlement and round-the-clock network monitoring and customer service.
To date, GuestWiFi has begun providing wireless Internet access at approximately a dozen hotels in six states, primarily in the Northeast.
