LAGOS, Nigeria-Nortel Networks and carrier Multi-Links Telecommunications Ltd. said they have launched what they describe as Africa’s first next-generation wireless network with cdma2000 1x services targeting more than 500,000 customers.
“Today’s launch is truly a historic event,” said C.K. Ramani, chief executive officer of Multi-Links. “Our entry into next-generation networks will forever change the way Nigerians communicate and interact with each other.”
