REDMOND, Wash.-AT&T Wireless Services Inc. announced Koichi Nishimura will join its board of directors, effective April 1.
Nishimura was chairman, president and chief executive officer of Solectron Corp. until his retirement in January. He also has 23 years of experience with IBM Corp. Nishimura, who will be the ninth member of AT&T Wireless’ board, was nominated by NTT DoCoMo, which had the right to nominate an additional representative to the board as part of an amended investor agreement signed late last year.
