DALLAS-Telematics company ATX Inc. announced it will expand into Europe with the opening of a call center and data facility, and marketing and customer service operations.
“Establishment of ATX Europe GmbH, is a reflection of the company’s continued success and drive to maintain a vehicle-centric focus,” said Steve Millstein, ATX’s president and chief executive officer. “ATX’s European operations will meet the growing needs of our customers to provide telematics services on a trans-Atlantic basis.”
In North America, ATX represents European-based automotive manufacturers, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Jaguar.
ATX said it anticipates its European headquarters will be located in or near Dusseldorf, Germany and that it expects to employ about 60 employees. ATX is part owned by Vodafone Group plc.
