French operators suspend mast use on health fears

DUBLIN, Ireland-Ongoing concerns regarding the effects of mobile-phone mast radiation on public health in France has encouraged SFR and Orange France to suspend the operation of antennas on top of a school in Yvelines.

The operators were quick to point out that there is no evidence the equipment is affecting school children or others in the area and they are merely suspending their use to allow for a thorough investigation of this and similar equipment.

In common with many of their counterparts around the world, health experts in France have failed to establish a direct relationship between living in close proximity to mobile-phone antennae and health problems.
