BELLEVUE, Wash.-T-Mobile USA Inc. and Cingular Wireless customers can sign up to receive up-to-the-minute news updates on the Iraq war through text message alerts.
The service works through technology from wireless application company InfoSpace Inc. and uses content from the Associated Press. To set up the service, users must log on to T-Mobile or Cingular’s Web sites and click on the appropriate boxes. Users can specify when and how many alerts they wish to receive.
