STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson said it has signed a contract to supply carrier 3 with W-CDMA equipment in Denmark.
The deal comprises radio and transmission, as well as core gear.
“The network will be fully integrated with 3’s Swedish network, which is also supplied by Ericsson,” said the Swedish supplier.
3 is the brand name for Hi3G Access’ activities in Denmark.
In other Ericsson contract news, the company said it has reached a milestone with the sale of half a million microwave radio products, called Mini-Link, to mobile, fixed and corporate networks globally.
The half-a-millionth deal was with Hutchison Italy.
“We are proud to be chosen by Hutchison to build the transmission for Italy’s first 3G network,” said Sivert Bergman, vice president and general manager of transport and transmission at Ericsson.
