MEA to launch U.S. efforts this month

WASHINGTON-The Mobile Enterprise Alliance, a not-for-profit organization formed to promote mobile and wireless technologies for business, will officially launch its U.S. efforts at the end of this month in conjunction with the Networld + Interop show in Las Vegas.

The group, formerly announced during the CeBIT show in Germany last month, features more than 100 members, including founding companies Citrix, Inmarsat, Palm Inc., Sierra Wireless and Symbol.

The MEA said it will work to provide best practice guidance for businesses looking to develop mobile and wireless workforce applications, as well as share technical solutions and serve as a knowledge repository for enterprise information-technology directors.
