OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Sprint PCS launched Sanyo Fisher Co.’s 8100 handset onto its network providing customers with a camera-enabled phone that will sell for less than $100 after a mail-in rebate. In addition to taking and sending pictures, Sprint PCS said the handset will allow customers to attach a 10-second voice clip to pictures.
“The Sprint 8100 will be the centerpiece of the Sprint camera phone line-up and we wouldn’t be surprised if it became the largest selling phone in Sprint’s history,” said Len Lauer, president of Sprint PCS.
