HELSINKI, Finland-Globe Telecom awarded a $35 million GSM network expansion deal to Nokia to deliver solutions for Globe’s network expansion in the Philippines.
Deliveries of Base Station Subsystems and Network Subsystems, including GSM radio access network infrastructure, Mobile Switching Center and Home Location Register, have already begun. Nokia will also supply operator services including rollout and network planning, site acquisition, project management, installation and commissioning.
The network is scheduled for completion by the end of October 2003.
