LONDON-Several billing and customer relationship management companies unleashed news at this week’s IIR Billing Systems 2003 conference in London.
Amdocs announced the availability of version 5.0 of the Amdocs Enabler. The enhanced solution includes integration with Amdocs ClarifyCRM, advanced online charging capabilities, enhanced product architecture and tools for rapid configuration and deployment, and support for multi-market or multi-national operations from one platform.
“The advanced functionality inherent in Amdocs Enabler 5.0 will allow operators to generate new revenues and retain valuable customers, while reducing implementation costs and risk,” touted Paul Hughes, director of billing and payment applications strategies at the Yankee Group.
Moreover, Mobilkom Austria will upgrade its billing platform to Amdocs’ enhanced product, allowing it to offer more advanced services while maximizing revenue streams.
Am-Beo announced the availability of rate-rec 4.0, which adds prepaid and balance management functionality to its existing real-time, rules-based rating, partner management and settlement capabilities. The company also announced a joint solution with network data management solutions provider XACCT Technologies, the XACCT Charging Control Node. “The Charging Control Node is designed to enable operators to offer value-added mobile data services, such as MMS, games, ring tones, streaming video, push-to-talk services, and information services on a prepaid charge-differentiated per-event basis, from a single prepaid account balance,” explained Anil Uberoi of XACCT.
Finally, Convergys Corp. announced the integration of its Geneva rating and billing module and Cygent, its customer order management module. The combined solution allows for more comprehensive customer service management to help service providers realize new revenue and reduce costs.
