BTP implements wireless POS ticketing for museum

NEW YORK-IT consulting firm Business Technology Partners, with ticket vendor Ticketmaster, has designed and implemented a wireless point-of-sale ticketing system for the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum for use during upcoming Fleet Week.

Ticketsellers will sell admission tickets from wireless tablet PCs from New York’s Pier 86 to customers hoping to tour ships in the harbor.

“The use of this system will increase efficiency and reduce costs for the Intrepid during one of the biggest annual events in New York City,” said Joshua Aaron, president of BTP. “With Ticketmaster Vista, we are bringing the benefits of wireless technologies to the consumer, and enhancing efficiencies within the Museum’s retail center that were never before possible.”
