PARIS-Airline carrier Air France plans to offer Wi-Fi service in 54 airport lounges throughout the world through a deal with Orange plc. The hot spots will be fully deployed within 18 months, Orange said.
The announcement will see business travelers with access to Air France lounges and Wi-Fi-equipped laptops accessing the Internet at broadband speeds using prepaid cards or subscription service, the companies said.
France Telecom and its subsidiaries, including Orange, have been some of the most aggressive European companies in the Wi-Fi arena.
