SAN DIEGO-Palm Inc. announced agreements with several companies to add voice over Internet Protocol, Wi-Fi and authentication software to the Palm Tungsten C handheld.
VL Inc. will deliver VoIP technology to the Tungsten C via its Gphone solution. Linksys, Wayport and WiFinder will offer solutions to enable Wi-Fi services on the handheld. And Meetinghouse Data Communications’ AEGIS WLAN security solution, which supports the LEAP standards-based authentication method for the Tungsten C that was developed by Cisco, will be implemented for security.
