ATLANTA-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. has reportedly agreed to pay a $675,000 fine to the Federal Communications Commission for failing to meet deadlines for installing E-911 technology on its GSM network. The carrier originally installed equipment that failed to meet the FCC’s accuracy requirements and did not install new equipment by the required deadline.
