Interest in the wireless enterprise market continues as Siemens, Colligo Networks, Aligo, Salesnet and Orsus Solutions announced new deals and products in the arena.
First, Siemens Business Services Inc. announced the creation of its Mobile Enterprise Services Alliance, which the company said is a portfolio of consulting and managed services for enterprises adopting mobile and wireless technology. In partnering with Intel Corp., Siemens said it will help organizations prioritize investments in mobile technology, improve the productivity and growth plans of secure mobile network infrastructure and extend the reach of mobile devices, operating systems and solutions in collaborative computing environments.
“With the aid of Mobile Enterprise Services, we can now provide clients deploying mobile and wireless devices with the same opportunities to decrease operating costs, improve productivity and optimize customer relationships as our office clients,” said John McKenna, head of Siemens Business Services.
Separately, Colligo Networks released a new version of its Colligo Workgroup Edition, which the company said decreases work productivity inefficiencies by allowing employees to work together wherever they need to share data and communicate electronically among any Windows-based handheld devices.
Also, Aligo said ChoicePoint will use the company’s M-1 Mobile Application Server software to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the information in ChoicePoint’s Public Records Group.
Salesnet, which provides customer relationship management software, said it will integrate instant messaging features from Microsoft, AOL and Yahoo into its wireless sales application.
Finally, Metrix Inc. released its new Mobile Techlink, which the company said is a field force automation solution that provides real-time direct connectivity between handheld communication devices and a mix of enterprise applications. The new product is powered by Orsus Solutions.
